Nannie Brown of Madison, Missouri.
Mrs. Brownfield Dies As Result of Stroke
"Mrs. Carrie Brownfield, 73, widow of Albert B. Brownfield died at 1
o'clock Tuesday afternoon in the Hulen Nursing Home in Centralia, where
she had been a patient since December 28. Mrs. Brownfield suffered a
stroke November 19 at her home here and was a patient in Woodland
hospital, Moberly, until she entered the nursing home. Born September
18, 1883, in Middle Grove, she was a daughter of Mr. and Mrs. Jjohn
martin Doyle. She was married November 2, 1904, and she and Mr.
Brownfield, a rural mail carrier, spent their entire married life in
Madison. He died in September 1941. A son, Doyle Brownfield, died in
March 1949.
She is survived by another son, Denzell Brownfield, Kansas City; and two
grandsons, Bob Brownfield, student in Oklahoma A and M College,
Stillwater, and Kevin Brownfield, student in Central Missouri College at
Warrensburg, Leon McHatton of Clark is a cousin who was reared Mrs.
Brownfield's parents. Mrs. Willie Cornick of Moberly is a niece &
Travis Doyle of Milan is a nephew. The body is in the Thompson Funeral
Home. Services will be held at 2 o'clock Thursday afternoon in the
Madison Christian Church by the pastor, the Rev. C.W. Cornn. Burial
will be in the Madison cemetery."
