Extracted from the newspaper article collection started in 1879 by Mrs.
Nannie Brown of Madison, Missouri.
Art B. Farris
"Art B. Farris, 62 years old, and for many years a resident of this
community was found dead in his room at Paris Tuesday night at 8:00.
Mr. Farris, the son of the late Mrs. and Mrs. B.O. Farris was born at
Murdock, Ill., and with his family, came to Missouri as a boy. He was
married to Miss Lola Maxey, who preceded him in death in August 1953.
He is survived by one daughter, Mrs. Harold Potter of Ft. Worth, Texas,
a grandson, Ronnie Potter, one brother, Fred Farris of Woodlawn, 2
sisters, Mrs. Ray Maxey of Moberly and Mrs. John Crim of Macomb, Ill.,
and several nieces and nephews, among whom are Merritt and Paul VanBuren
of Madison. The body will remain at the Thompson Funeral Home until the
funeral hour. Services will be held by Rev. S.B. Owings at the
Christian Church at 2 o'clock Friday afternoon. Burial will be in
Sunset Hill Cemetery."
Farris Funeral To Be Held at Madison
"Madison - Funeral services for Arthur B. Farris, who was found dead in
his room in Paris Wednesday morning will be held at the Madison
Christian Church Friday afternoon at 2 o'clock. The service will be
conducted by the Rev. S.B. Owings, Christian minister near Paris.
Burial will be in Sunset Hill Cemetery, Madison."
