Nannie Brown of Madison, Missouri.



J. Mead Johnston



"J. Mead Johnston, 90 years old, died Friday morning of last week in a
Moberly hospital, where he had been a patient for over two weeks. Born
near Madison, he had spent his life there. Surviving are his widow, the
former Willie Tom Waters, to whom he had been married 69 years; a son,
Denver Johnston of near Madison; one daughter, Mrs. Curtis Gaines of
Madison, a brother, Everett Johnston of near Madison, 8 grandchildren,
17 great-grandchildren and four great, great grandchildren. Funeral
services were conducted Sunday afternoon in the Madison Christian Church
by the pastor, Rev. Cornn, with burial at Madison."
