article collection started in 1879 by Mrs. Nannie Brown of Madison,
Missouri.
Mrs. John Reid of Madison Dies; Funeral Today
"Madison, Mo., March 17 - Mrs. May Reid, wife of John E. Reid of the
Madison vicinity, died at Woodland Hospital in Moberly at 8:45 o'clock
Saturday night. She had been ill about four weeks and a hospital
patient for the past ten days. Mrs. Reid was the daughter of Elizabeth
and Thomas Turpitt and was born in this vicinity. Besides the husband
she is survived by one daughter, Mrs. Dennis Bloodworth of Moberly, and
five sons, Fred and Bert Reid of Madison, John of Illinois, Ray of
Detroit and Tom of Iowa. All her family had been at her bedside for
several days. Funeral services were conducted at 2 o'clock this
afternoon at the Madison Baptist Church of which she was a member. The
Rev. A.P. McKenzie, formerly of Madison, was in charge. Burial was in
the Madison Cemetery."
