Funeral Held Today in Holliday Church for Ed Atterbury
"Holliday - Funeral services were held at 2 o'clock this afternoon at
the Holliday Christian Church for Ed Atterbury, 86, who died at 10
o'clock Saturday night at his home in Holliday after an illness of
several months. The Rev. J.W. Pearson of Moberly officiated and burial
was in Bethel cemetery. Mr. Atterbury was born Jan. 19, 1868, and was
married on March 29, 1917, to Miss Bessie Kepper. He lived most of his
life in this community and became a member of the Christian church in
1904. Besides his wife, Mr. Atterbury is survived by two daughters,
Mrs. Elgilina Hollings of Des Moines, Iowa, and Mrs. Betty Manske of St.
Louis; a niece, Mrs. Edith Oakley of St. Paul, Minn., and two
granddaughters."
