Undated article from unknown source. Extracted from the newspaper
article collection started in 1879 by Mrs. Nannie Brown of Madison,
Missouri.



Mrs. Nora Gaines Died in Madison; Funeral Tomorrow



"Madison - Mrs. Nora Belle Gaines, 79, widow of Emmett Gaines, died
about 3:15 o'clock yesterday morning at her home in Madison. Mrs.
Gaines' death was discovered at noon by her sister, Mrs. Jeff Hartgrove,
who went to her home for a visit. Mrs. Gaines, lying on the floor in
her bed clothes, had apparently suffered a stroke. Mrs. Gaines was
first married to Fred Kenne who died a number of years ago. The couple
had one child, Susie Gladys, who died at the age of 10. Mrs. Gaines was
next married to Phil Love who died in 1932. She later married Mr.
Gaines who died in 1950. Surviving are two sisters, Mrs. Jeff Hartgrove
and Mrs. Owen Hartgrove of Madison, a brother, James Hancock of Madison
and a number of nieces and nephews. The body is at the Thompson-Mackler
Funeral Home where it will remain until services at 2 o'clock tomorrow
afternoon in the Madison Baptist Church, of which Mrs. Gaines was a
member. The pastor, the Rev. John H. Mihlfeld, will officiate with
burial in Sunset hill cemetery."
