Mrs. Ella Railing



"Mrs. Ella Million Railing, 81, of Van Wert, Ohio, died Thursday at a
hospital where she had been a patient only a few hours. Mrs. Railing
was born June 15, 1876 at Convoy, Ohio, daughter of the late Mr. and
Mrs. Jacob Wilt. She came to Monroe County with her parents at the age
of 5 and they settled on a farm near Woodlawn. She was married to S.D.
Million in 1896 and they spent their married life on a farm in the
Woodlawn vicinity. Mr. Million died in 1934 and Mrs. Million later
married to Wm. Railing. They moved to Van Wert to make their home.
Mrs. Railing, a member of the Lutheran church, was the last member in a
family of 12 children. She is survived by her husband, six children,
Mrs. Ruby Turner of Madison, Mrs. Virgil Hayden and Ira D. Million of
Mexico, Charley Million of Paris, Monroe Million of Shelbina and Frank
Million, near Woodlawn, 22 grandchildren; 23 great-grandchildren, and a
number of nieces and nephews. One daughter, Mabel Milner, died in 1932.
The body was brought to the Thompson Funeral Chapel in Madison.
Services were conducted at 2 0'clock at Oak Grove church by Rev. Steve
Owings. Burial was in the Oak Grove cemetery."
