year). Extracted from the newspaper article collection started in 1879
by Mrs. Nannie Brown of Madison, Missouri.
W.T. Moore Dies at 85; Funeral to Be Held Wednesday
"William T. Moore, 85, long a salesman for the Fletcher Coffee Co., died
at 11:50 o'clock yesterday morning at this home, 326 South Morley
street, after a lingering illness. Born in Audrain County on a farm
near Mexico, Mr. Moore was associated with the Fletcher Co. for 28 years
before retiring in 1942. He was a member of the Coates Street
Presbyterian Church for more than 50 years, serving as a deacon and
elder there for many years. Mr. Moore received a pin from the Masonic
Lodge when he reached his 50th year of membership in that organization.
He and Mrs. Moore observed their 50th wedding anniversary in 1953. He
is survived by his wife and a daughter, Mrs. C.A. Birkenmeier, Moberly,
and several nephews and nieces. The body is in the Mahan Funeral
Parlors and services will be held in its chapel at 2 o'clock Wednesday
afternoon by Mr. Moore's pastor, the Rev. Robert N. Allen. Burial will
be in Oakland cemetery."
