Mrs. R.G. Crain



"Elizabeth Fombelle Crain, daughter of James T. and Dulcina Fombelle,
was born on April 18, 1885, at Sweet Springs, Mo. At an early age she
united with the Baptist Church at Sweet Springs. After graduation from
Missouri University, she was an esteemed instructor in Foreign Language
and mathematics for several years. On March 16, 1919 she was united in
marriage to Charles O. Teague at Parson, Kansas. Three children were
born to this union. Two daughters, Mrs. Alice E. Willis, Wichita,
Kansas and Mrs. Frances Perkins, Peterson, New Jersey survive. A son,
Charles O., Jr and her husband preceded her in death. December 27, 1958
she was united in marriage to Ralph G. Crain of this community, and has
resided in this community since that time. Soon after their marriage
she united with and became an active member of the Monroe Chapel Church.
She departed this life July 29, 1960.

She leaves her husband, R.G. Crain; the two daughters; two step-sons,
Bill and Bob Crain, five step-daughters, Margaret Holder, Dorothy
Lewellen, Mary Jones, Helen McMahen and Rebecca Coffman; two sisters,
Mrs. Maude Malott, River Falls, Wisconsin, and Mrs. Edna Holley,
Wichita, Kansas; 18 grandchildren, other relatives and a host of
friends. Services were held Monday August 1st, 2:00 p.m. at Leesburg
Church with Rev. William Hern. Burial was at Walnut Grove Cemetery,
Paris."
