Miss Nancy Davis



"Miss Nancy Lou Davis, 78, of Holliday died Monday morning at the home
of her cousin, Mrs. Dysart DeLaney, where she had been staying the part
two weeks. She had been seriously ill for the last two months. Miss
Davis was born near Clarence, the daughter of the late James and Martha
Mason Davis. She operated the Holliday switchboard, retiring in 1959
because of failing health. Survivors include two cousins, Mrs. DeLaney,
and Mrs. Clinton Hill of Macon, a number of nieces and nephews. The
body was taken to the Thompson-Mackler Funeral Home at Madison. Funeral
services were held Wednesday afternoon at 2:00 at the Holliday Christian
Church with burial in Bethel Cemetery at Holliday."
