Mrs. Pearl Harpham



"Mrs. Essie Pearl Harpham, 82, died at 3:00 o'clock Sunday (afternoon)
at her home in Madison. She had been seriously ill the past few weeks
but had been in ill health for some time. She was the daughter of the
late Samuel Madison Ford and Mary Elizabeth Maxey Ford, born December
10, 1875, south of Holliday. She was a member of the Grace Methodist
church, also she was a charter member of the W.S.C.S. Mrs. Jamie Lou
Delaney Johnson, a granddaughter, preceded her in death several years
ago. Mrs. Harpham is survived by Mrs. James F. Delaney, Madison; and
Miss Flossie Harpham, Lamar, Colo.; a (sister), Mrs. Paul Dawson of
Odessa, Mo.; and a great granddaughter, Lou Beth Johnson, Baltimore,
Maryland. The body lay in state at the Thompson Funeral Home and was
taken to the home Monday afternoon. Services were held at the Grace
Methodist Church at 2:00 o'clock by Rev. Harry Shoemaker, assisted by
Rev. Glenn Hall. Burial was in Bethel Cemetery, Holliday."
