Extracted from the newspaper article collection started in 1879 by Mrs.
Nannie Brown of Madison, Missouri.
Mrs. Cora Moore, 86, Dies; Funeral to be in Madison
"Holliday - Mrs. Cora Moore, 86, former Holliday and Madison resident,
died at 7:30 o'clock last night at home of her son-in-law and daughter,
Mr. and Mrs. Orville Biser of Hickman Mills. Reared in Monroe County,
Mrs. Moore lived in Holliday for a number of years before going to
Madison in1937. Because of ill health, she went to the daughter's home
four years ago. Mrs. Moore was married to Thompson Moore in 1891 and he
preceded her in death. She also was preceded in death by a grandson,
Vincent Hess, who had lived in her home. Besides the daughter, Mrs.
Biser, she is survived by two sisters, Mrs. Mary Bradley of Holliday,
who is now in Birmingham, Ala., and Mrs. Addie Whittenburg, Shelbyville.
Mrs. Moore was a member of the Christian Church. The body will arrive
tomorrow at the Thompson-Mackler Funeral Home in Madison. Funeral
services will be held there Wednesday afternoon and burial will be in
Bethel cemetery in Holliday."
