Thank you to everyone for your input. From the Tanner Book, I do find one
SHIPMAN listed, but it's CORA SHIPMAN. This is what is said:
JOHN WILLIAM TANNER, JR., b. December 1874, In., d. 1918, Granby, Newton
Co., Mo., married ca. 1894, Mo., Cora Shipman, b. August ca. 1878, Mo.
Children listed:
CLAUDE EUGENE TANNER, b. June 1895, Mo.
BESSIE TANNER, b. July 1899, Granby, Newton Co, Mo., died young.
Infant TANNER, b. and d. ca. 1901-02., Mo.
J. D. TANNER, b. 1909, Mo.
MABLE TANNER, b. and d. in infancy.
JOHN WESLEY TANNER, b. and d. in infancy.
It says that BLANCHE was still living when this was being researched, and
lived in Sapulpa, Ok., and was 84 years old.
Do you think that it was Jenny instead of Cora that married the Tanner?
I'll have to ask my parents if they know your parents.
Mine are Junior Anderson Vance b. 6/17/1924, and Joyce Myrtle Tanner, b.
1/1/1927. Both were from Granby, also.
Thanks again
Brenda
