Does anyone know anything about a Francis or Frances (Stringer) Tompkins who
lived in Granby after 1889? She was my grandmother's sister. Her husband
might have been named Louis,Lewis or Louie Tompkins. My grandmother Laura
Ellen (Stringer) Shipman, was abandoned by her father when she was only 13
years old to raise her siblings, Roy and Leo Stringer. Whenever Frances
(Stringer) Tompkins husband died, Granny apparently then went to live with
her. In the family history she was referred to as "Aunt Frank."
