I am in the process of writing a book which I hope to get published
eventually which is adapted from all my grandfather's notes he used for
articles he wrote in the early 1940s in Granby for the News Herald. He was
Otis Benjamin HOWARD. Within the book already I have mention of at least 150
names of people living in Granby at that time.
One name which is of particular interest to me today is a Frank PRINE. In my
grandfather's notes he says "Frank Prine, who was called here by the
accidental death of his little boy,has gone back to Vancouver to his job."
I suppose the sentence first got my attention due to the mention of
Vancouver...which is where I live. I guess it was just one of those moments
when you think how odd that I am today trying to publish a book about my
grandfather's writings and I am living in the very town he was once writing
about in his notes. Weird. Anyway, I was also interested in finding anything
more about this Frank Prine simply because we all know how so many of those
SW MO people followed the old Oregon Trail to relocate here in the Pacific
Northwest (Oregon) and not to far from me is Prineville, Oregon named after
its founder, a Frank Prine.
Does anyone know anything about if there is indeed a connection to the man
from Granby of whom my grandfather was writing?
Thanks!
