At the Newton county/Neosho Library, there is a genealogy group called the
Genealogy Friends of the Library. There are volunteers who do perform
lookups and research for a reasonable fee. You can contact them by mail at

The phone is 417-451-4231 and ask for the genealogy room. The hours are 9-9,
Mon-Thur, 9-5:30 on Fri, and 9-5 on Sat, closed on Sunday.
