When I first looked at the picture of the mine I also thought it looked
similar to some of the photographs my parents have of the lead , etc., mines
in that area. Many of my father's brothers lived in Granby and also worked in
Pitcher, OK, etc...I suppose when those in Granby began to run out a little
and money went elsewhere for that sort of thing. Thus dual residencies. Just
a guess. However, I will try to have my parents identify some of the people
or at least a few in the photo I found online.
