Can someone tell me the procedure to obtain an estate record from Newton Co.?
When I was there a couple of years ago, the books were not available because
they were being filmed (or something).
I need the estate papers for Malcolm McDougal. I have a copy of his will
dated June 8, 1852. The will was filed Jan. 10, 1860 leaving to his wife,
Flora, and seven children: Mary, Catherine, William, Daniel, Eliza, Thomas
Jefferson and Sarah.
My ancestor from this family is son Daniel who married Margaret McRae from
McDonald Co.
