Subject: [MONEWTON] How do you read this?

Question:
When you are looking at a deed from 1854 and it refers to "the southeast quarter of the northeast quarter of Section 10 in Township Number 22 of Range number 27" and you want to locate it on one of the old plat maps...how do you do it???!!!
I see on the plat map a larger number in the center of each square. Is that the Township number? Then where is the Range Number?
The map I am using was once provided at http://www.jps.net/johnrs/maps/granby_co.JPG
I don't think it is still available but I thought maybe some of you also have it on file. Anyway, I see the number 27 but I am not quite sure what I am doing.
Any help will be greatly appreciated!
