Subject: [MONEWTON] 1900 census of Newton county

Just a quick note to let everyone know that Karen and I are very close to
finishing the 1900 Franklin township of Newton county. We had quite a
setback when, for some unexplained reason, after completing about half of
the township, our file became corrupted. It was unrecoverable and very
frustrating to lose about 20-22 hours worth of work. We got away from the
1900 for a while and instead completely did the 1850 census (much easier!).
Well, we got started again on Franklin and we are about 425 name away from
completing it. Franklin was one of the largest townships and we will glad to
get it finished. As soon as it is uploaded and available at
ftp://ftp.us-census.org/pub/usgenweb/census/mo/newton/
I will let everyone know. Good luck in your search!
