There is an N. Gruber in the 1902 and 1882 Plat Books. They are just
over the Jasper/Newton County line in Van Buren.

Subject: [MONewton] A request for a look up in Plat Books
I am trying to locate Gruber's from Newton County, we have been told
they
moved to Newton about 1867 and may have left by 1889. Could anyone
with
access to Plat Books in this time period please advise me on if they
are
listed. I have found them on the 1870 & 1880 census in Van Buren
Township.
They are being very illusive. I heartfully thank you for your time and
help
in this matter.
