Jennifer,

Since you have his date/place of death, go to www.funeralnet.com and find
the funeral home/s there. Since it was in 1974, you should be able to get
some information from the funeral record. When you find out which funeral
home handled the arrangements, ask them to please send you a copy of the
funeral record. If the informant was family, there MIGHT be some information
about how he is related to your Milton Speer. If not, you should be able to
get some idea of survivors and where they lived. Then check with them, and
see if someone might be working on that particular family.

I've been getting funeral home records since 1994, and they sure have helped
me, in my compiling the descendants of my gg grandparents.
