Margaret,
Do you know when Mary died? On the McDonald County Library website, in the obituary section (under their genealogy site), there is a Mary Moore, wife of W.D. Moore, who has an obituary in the Pineville Herald on 11/14/1911. She was buried in the Butler Creek Cemetery in Sulphur Springs, AR.
If this is your Mary, you can go to the library website and get the information to request a copy of the obituary. The website is www.librarymail.org
Just go to "Genealogy/History" then to the obituaries. I found several of my Newton County family members listed on this website, as it includes some of the Newton County newspapers.

I am not sure when Mary came to MO. They may have came with their parents James & Nancy Bowles who lived in McDonald Co, MO also; again not sure when they moved to the area. Sampson & Mary had a brother Charles; who was a traveling preacher.> I do not know what Mary's husband name was other than Mr Moore/More.> I have not seen him on any census with her.> Margaret> > > > > > When Satan is knocking at your door, simply say, " Jesus, could You please get that for me?"> > -------------------------------> To unsubscribe from the list, please send an email to with the word 'unsubscribe' without the quotes in the subject and the body of the message
