Hi Mike!
Have you ever located the 'spot' on Bacon Ridge in Granby, MO where the building of zinc was once located? This would be on Bacon Ridge,...the real one overlooking Hwy.60...not the Bacon Ridge 'street' which to my knowledge is not located with historic accuracy. The fort supposedly had sat just on the side of the hill where my grandfather Otis Howard and wife Corillia lived...but growing up I did not know about it or frankly...I suppose...by being a kid...cared. He is noted as having been the one who named Bacon Ridge and he also told about the fort where people back in the Bushwhacker days or whatever would hide for protection. I don't know who lives in my grandparent's house now on that hill either.
Just wondering?
Thanks,
Deb Rowe
