Hello All,

The original message read as follows,
Hello Ann,

Well done to all those involved with producing this genealogy aid. There is
just one query I have from your recent E Mail below.

I have just spent a delightful half an hour scrolling through the 1891
census CD for the eastern Valley of Gwent. I don't have any ancestors
there but just had to have a look - a kid with a new toy syndrome - it
is very good. gives surname, forename, age relationshipt to head of
household, age and address.this is the first part of the transcription
of the 1891 - the work continues.
As all good researchers tell you, any transcription is going to have
errors and should only be used as a finding aid before consulting the
original documents. Well, this one gives you a lot of information which
has to make it easier to narrow down your search.
Available from Gwent FHS Sales Officer, 50 Queens Hill, Newport, Gwent
NP20 5HJ. price 10 GB pounds plus postage and packing. It should be on
GENFAir very soon.

I'll declare my interest now - I am Editor of the Gwent FHS Journal and
their sales Officer.

Ann,
you did not mention if the CD includes the place of birth, is this an
ommition deliberately or just a mistake that you forgot to mention that it
does in fact include place of birth ?

Kind regards

Warren W Lewis ( Pontypool )

I have just received a message from Ann Macey stating that there is NO
birthplace on the Census information on this particular CD.

Kind regards

Warren W Lewis ( Pontypool )
