Dear Listers,
By pure chance, I happened to be listening to BBC Radio 4 at 11:00 this
(Monday) morning and heard a fascinating 30-minute programme called "Unrest
in Peace".
The programme focused on the increasing problem of overcrowding in
graveyards in the UK and discussed possible solutions including the re-use
of existing graves.
This morning's programme can be heard on the BBC Radio 4 website at:
http://www.bbc.co.uk/radio4/factual/rams/mon1102.ram
(requires Real Player, available from http://www.real.com/ )
The second and final "Unrest in Peace" programme will be transmitted at
11:00 am next Monday, and presumably will also be available from the BBC
Radio 4 website.
I recommend the programme to everyone with ancestors buried in Britain.
Kind regards,
John
