In 1870 one Mateo Cué married Lanora Neck in the Newport Register Office.
The couple don't appear to be listed in 1881, so I'm guessing he must have
whisked her back to his country of origin (he was a steam ship engineer).

How might I go about finding out where Mateo came from? Are they listed in
the 1871 Newport census?
