Islington Museum

Exhibition - "From leeches to the NHS" -Medicine in Islington from 1850 to

Talk by the Curator of The Old Operating Theatre And Herb Garret

Family Activity Day: "The Victorian Chemist"
Sat 29th October 12 noon to 5pm at the museum
Come to try out the tools of a Victorian pharmacist

Guildhall Library
Guided tours of Guildhall Library will take place on:
Wednesday October 5th
Wednesday December 7th
Wednesday February lst

Each visit will start at 1.00 p.m. and will last for one hour. You will
hear about the history of the Library, see the collections and visit behind
the scenes.

Greenwich Maritime Museum
A new gallery "Your Ocean" has been opened at the National Maritime museum.
This focuses on the key issues facing the marine environment in the 21st
century.

VISITOR INFORMATION
Opening Hours: 10.00-17.00, seven days a week and 10.00-18.00 in July and
August.
Last admission is at 16.30 and 17.30 in July and August.
(Closed 24-26 December).

Admission: General admission to the Museum, Queen's House and Royal
Observatory, Greenwich, is free to all visitors.

PROGRAMME OF MEETINGS & LECTURES at the SOCIETY OF GENEALOGISTS
14 CHARTERHOUSE BUILDINGS, GOSWELL ROAD, LONDON
Meetings are held at 2pm and anyone interested in Welsh family history is
welcome to attend. We ask for a £2 donation towards the hire of the room
and speakers' expenses. The dates and topics for the remaining meeting in
