After years of BMD searching, I might have finally found the marriage of my second great gps, Angelina LEWIS and Thomas JENKINS, both born in Llanelly, BRE, or, then again, I might be clutching at straws.
This is the entry:
Thomas Jenkins
Ann Selina Lewis
Dec. 1855, Abergavenny, 11a, 92
(The other two were William Davies and Jane Thomas)
Sometime between 1851-1861 the JENKINS family did move to Blaina (Abergavenny district until 1861), but the first child of Thomas and Ann, my g gm, was born in the home of the LEWIS' in 1856 in Llanelly (a few months early).
I can see how Angelina might have been recorded as Ann Selina, but I am puzzled by the Abergavenny place of marriage, instead of the expected place, Llanelly/Crickhowell. Any thoughts? Jojo
