Thanks for your quick reply. I think it was Sarah Chambers nee Parry (1833-1889) born and died in Newport, who nursed Lord Tredagar, although I can not prove it at the moment. I have found her on the Census's, but no occupation was recorded. Could you please suggest my next step?

It depends which Lord Tredegar she worked for because there was more than one, the title was past down.
And regarding a military funeral that was only done for those that served in combat or was a member of the forces.
Would it not be better to work backwards using Census information to locate this Ancestor of yours and then you would have proof of who she was and if it was at Tredegar House that she did work because the Morgan family were not always in residence they stayed in London a lot.
Have you her date of birth and name to investigate further this theory of the family story.
