Hi Kathy & Lyn,

I found all those links on a google search. Although very interesting,
there is nothing about this fellow's family. I have a feeling, however,
that he's not Jane Powell's spouse, as one of the stories says the crime was
committed in "Atherton near Bolton" which is pretty far north of
Monmouthshire where Jane & William Chadwick were married. All of their
children were born in Wales according to the 1891 census.

I guess I'll continue to look, but as I said, after reading some of the
available information, I don't think the fellow who christened the gallows
is the same William Chadwick who married Jane Powell.

I do appreciate both of you taking the time to look and post a reply to my
query. Thank you.
