Hi Jackie,

If born overseas and he came to this Country aboard a ship it would be best
that you search ship records to try and locate if he came with his family, or
if he came over working on a ship without family there will be no records to
search for his parents in this Country.
Have you obtained his marriage certificate to find out the name of his
father.
