I am new to this list but I am hoping someone can work a miracle for me. The name I am trying to research is HARDSMAN. Joseph Hardsman is my great grandfather who was born (according to his marriage certificate) in Tenterfield, New South Wales, Australia in abt 1867. There is no record of his birth in NSW or other states.

His parents are David Hardsman and Ellen Scott also according to his marriage certificate. I have been told by a family member that David was born in Monmouth, Wales, but I don't know when. I also don't know where or when Ellen was born. Maybe sks on the list may know the surname.
