Hi,

I wondering if SKS who has access to the Trevethin church parish records
could look for the Christening of a Philip Jones, father John Jones.

According to Philip's 1856 marriage certificate, his father was John Jones,
collier, and he was a 30 year old bachelor, which would make his year of
birth 1826. He is listed as being born in Pontypool in several of the
census.

Any help will be greatly appreciated.
