Hi Jules

The mother had indeed remarried by 1851, to a man called William Anson.
Together with John 20, Richard 17, Shadrach 13, Thomas 10, Mechach 7 and
Abendigo 3 (all spellings as recorded in census) they all lived in Puddlers
Row, Aberystruth, wherever that was! The four youngest boys were all born in
France, and William was born in Staffordshire. William and the four oldest
boys worked as puddlers, which I'd not heard of before and apparently
involved stirring molten iron at the forge as part of the purification
process.

Robert

Would anyone be able to help with a lookup on the 1851 census?
I am after a family called DANIEL.

PARENTS:
Edward
Mary

CHILDREN:
Richard 1834
Mary Magdalen 1835
Noah 1837
Shadrach 1838
Thomas 1841
Abednego 1842
Meshak 1847

Most of the children were born in France, then the family moved back to
Wales. The mother was born in Pontypool. She may have been remarried in 1851
to a man named ? Hanson.
