Sorry, Ann, yes I know where Aberystruth was http://tinyurl.com/ykd8cq - but
I've still no idea about Puddlers Row! The description of the Enumeration
District describes the area as 'all that part of the parish from Cwm Beeg on
the Western side of the river Ebbw including Blaina Cottages and Nantyglo
House' which seems to cover quite a wide area!

they all lived in Puddlers Row, Aberystruth, wherever that was!

Aberystruth pronounced "Aber strooth" locally, Does not have a town or
village of that name as the heart of the parish. it covered a large area
between Ebbw Vale and Blaenavon which seemed to include Blaina, Nantyglo,
Abertillery(this became its own parish) and all the tiny hamlets and
villages.
When you look at the present day OS maps it seems that Aberystruth parish
was Coity Mountain in the middle with all the inhabited bits around the
base.
