Hello,
How common was it for births NOT to be registered around
1881-1883?
The reason I ask, is that I have found two Ernest Davies' ( the
elder with Gill Jones' help) one aged 23 in 1901,the other aged 9 in 1891
both born Pontypool. I have been into 1837online and, in the case of the
1891 (b 1883) to the registry Office in Pontypool. All to no avail.
