Good morning colleagues, I am interested in the Roderick and Rhydderch
Families of Monmouthshire. Our family Thomas Roderick moved into
Blaenafon about 1800, where there are 4 recorded baptisms in the
Llanover Upper parish. He was son of Evan Roderick or Rhydderch of
Llantrisant, Glam. I believe THomas had earlier children and it is
likely others of his family moved to Monmouthshire. I have suspected a
genealogical connection with other Roderick and Rhydderch fams.in
Pontypool, Abergavenny, Monkswood, Panteag, I have acquired many
certificates of birth, marriage and death from the GRO in London,
concentrating on Gwent. I am happy to provide any information from
them.

By the way one Roderick family in Pontypool (Trevethin Parish) came
from Llanelly, Carmarthenshire

We also have Y chromosome DNA project which really proves family
relationships through the male line. It is through FamilyTreeDNA
(Google it) , and all Rodericks and RHydderchs are heartily invited to
participate. We have 5 independent families in Wales already
identified with respect to parish origin. Let me know if you have any
questions about it.

Thank you for any collaboration.
