Dear Jan,

I am putting this on list in case anyone else needs the information.

I have just spoken to the archivist at Gwent Record Office and he informs me that if you contact the National Library of Wales by email asking them to look at the Monmouth Assize records and give them the date that you have for the conviction then they will let you have a copy of the conviction.

Email to You will have to fill in some forms and pay a fee for this service.
