Dear Jan,
A reference to the doomed village of Llanelen probably relates to Llanelen
in the parish of Llanrhidian, on the Gower Peninsula, near Swansea in the
county of Glamorgan (see http://tinyurl.com/y8kl3v). This is a quite
different village from the one your ancestors inhabited.
The GENUKI webpage to which I referred you gives details of the location of
the records of St Helen's Church, Llanelen.
I changed the subject heading of my message to make it relevant to the
subject actually being discussed. I also indicated the subject heading which
had formerly been used.
Kind regards,
John
