Subject: [MON] First World War Deaths - Lost Generation

Almost by accident, I watched the last part of an interesting programme on Channel 4 on Sunday afternoon. It's called Lost Generation: "90 years ago a whole generation had their lives, loves, hopes and dreams annihilated on the battlefields of the First World War. Lost Generation offers an opportunity to turn those long lists of names of the fallen back into real people with real desires and potential, to understand their world and celebrate their astonishing stories."
One thing that caught my attention was the mention of a new database of War Memorial Inscriptions that is searchable by name of the fallen. I had a quick look and it seems quite comprehensive, with all sorts of relevant links. Here is the website for those interested.
