The whole point is that everyone shares the same copy, you make a journal
entry for the book at
http://www.bookcrossing.com/home
because the book has been registered there. You get to see the author's
signature in the front of the book because it is a signed copy, and all for
the cost of posting it on to the next person on the list.
I just thought it would be something different that would tell us a bit
about the valley life of our ancestors, something we could share for the
cost of postage.
I do bookrings quite often so I do know about them
