Subject: [MON] HEWSON/WILLIAMS Marriage & death record
Date: Wed, 6 Feb 2008 08:40:55 -0000

Grateful for any help locating marriage of my gt.grandparents and ggfs
death.

Mary Williams (bc 1852 Burton Pembs) and Frederick Howard Hewson (bc 1842
Devonport & possibly had another forename- William?) presumably married
before my grandfathers birth in 1877 at Bridge St Chepstow.

FHH was variously a commercial traveller, chemist and maybe a dentist. Mary
ran a tobacconists shop in Chepstow Road Newport. For most of their married
lives, my gt grandparents lived in Maindee Newport where their other 2
children were born and Mary died in 1899.

FHH was alive in 1899 but 'deceased' when my grandparents married in Newport
in 1907.

My simple searches on Freebmd have found nothing and the Probate office have
no record of a Will. My late cousin may have paid for a friutless GRO
search/ marriage certificate but i believe she may have had the wrong dates.

Many thanks
Dick Fowler
