He was born in Lyonshall Hereford in 1843 & still living there in 1861. He was married in 1876 in Abergavenny to an Emma Jones & his occupation was fireman. In 1878 he is the informant on his mother's death certificate in Lyonshall & was living at Leuyn Dee (presume Llywndu) Abergavenny. I have him in 1881 (farmer) at Llanwenarth & in 1891 & 1901 in Tredegar as loco engine driver. So far I haven't been able to find him in 1871 which is a crucial time.
