Hello Barbara,
No you won't find Frederick easily. He is there, but has been missed
off the index! Helpful! I don't have the page numbers to hand I'm
afraid, but if you put in Sussana Olovers (a transcription mangling of
the niece Susannah Oliver he was bringing up!)...lo and behold there he
is along with his mother and an Oliver nephew too.
We know for certain that the death date is correct as we have the death
cert. He is indeed born 1822 (or possibly 1824) in Starcross, Devon.
What he was doing in Tredegar, I have no idea...nor where he had been
hiding in 1881. His occupation on the death cert. is the usual
"labourer". It was just 1871 that he was an enumerator. His son Henry
did a stint too.
All very puzzling,
Regards,
Sian.
