We have no idea who owned the house where AJ died, The address given,
35, Charles Street, was that of the house where he died, but it wasn't
F.J's home. His address isn't relevant to the proceedings so isn't
given. He was certainly still with the family the following year when
they are all in Mynnyddyslwyn. When they arrived, of course, we don't
know. All we can know for sure is that they left the Forest after 1881
and were settled at 199, Trecelyn by 1891.
FJ registered the death and is stated to have been "in attendance" at
the death. I suppose it is possible that the whole family was in
Tredegar in between the Forest and Trecelyn, but it's so hard to know
where people went between censuses. The strong implication of the death
cert. is that the house was not the home of FJ. All very puzzling!
Regards,
Sian.
