The US Subscription *includes* the census ($119.80/yr). The "Super
Subscription" includes the UK/Ireland and Newspapers ($189.95) (I'm
assuming it also includes Canada, although the grid doesn't mention
that). The US/Canada collection doesn't include the census records and
is $79.95. The US Census, UK/Ireland and Newspapers can be purchased
separately for $99.95/year each (I see the newspapers are "on sale" for
$79.95)
To me, it's a lot of money. To a lot of other researchers, it's a lot
of money. And transcriptions & indexes are *not* primary source
documents and are great for clues, but *good* research states to go to
the *original* documents, which a good professional genealogist would
do.
The census records are digitized images - this is good. I wish more of
their records were digitized images rather than transcriptions!
I'm grateful that our local library has the AncestryPlus subscription on
their computers so I can search the site for free!!
