Greetings.Look Well to all. So many Hugh Montgomery's!
In Scots Irish research I have seen refrence to Hugh Montgomery a favorite of King James of Scotland & England
VI, I. This Hugh and James Hamilton formed a private company to settle the Lowland Scots in Northern Ireland.
Hugh and James Hamilton both were writers and kept a running acount of their Plantations I dont know if these writings were published, however I see them refered to in many books as source material. I think these documents would shed a great deal of light on Hugh and his Kin.
