your message sounds like I may have a connection--here is what I have: 1888 edition of the Mercer County History(PA)
page 582------Sandy Creek Pioneers: The Montgomery's, John, Joseph, James and William, four brothers who arrived in 1802 from Juanita County,PA and located upon a 400 acre tract situated near present line between Mill Creek and new Vernon Townships. Of these,James became the most distinquished. He was a member of the Legislature of 1812, a captain in the war of 1812, colonel of militia and Justice of the Peace of Sandy Creek Township.
I am the greatgrandaughter of either Joseph or John. My grandmother's name was Nettie Maude aka Mollie Montgomery--her mother's name was Sarah---I hope between us we can perhaps fill in the gaps--I still live in the same vacinity and Conneaut is not far away in miles. Please let me know what you think.
