Hello to All Montgomery Researchers

I was interested in this email due to the fact that my Great-Great-Great
Grandfather was Samuel Montgomery who was born in Knox County, Tennessee on
May 10, 1801. My Samuel MONTGOMERY married in Maury County, Tennessee on
July 3, 1823 to Julia GRIMES.

Not sure how long they lived in Maury County but birth of children, John and
Robert MONTGOMERY were born in Hickman County, Tennessee and then moved up
to Ballard County, Kentucky where son William Grimes MONTGOMERY was born in
1834.

Daughter, Sarah Jane MONTGOMERY was born in 1837 Possibly in Hickman County,
Kentucky.

Another Son Andrew Jackson MONTGOMERY born about 1839 in Kentucky.

We believe (Family Stories) there was one more son, but we have not been
able to find this son.

Samuel and family came to Oregon Territory in 1847. Samuel and sons, John,
Robert and William all took up Donation Land Claims in Linn County, Oregon
Territory.

I come through William Grimes MONTGOMERY and I grew up on his Donation Land
Claim. William MONTGOMERY married Mary CUSICK in 1855.

Not sure who Samuel MONTGOMERY Parents were. Some say that Samuel
MONTGOMERY and Magdalena SHOOK were his parents - BUT others do not believe
this is correct.

Hard to trace SAMUEL MONTGOMERY as there were to many of them. If any one
out there is listening - maybe you can help find the "TRUE" parents of my
Samuel MONTGOMERY.

CLAN MONTGOMERY has Samuel MONTGOMERY and Magdalena SHOOK as my Samuel's
Montgomery parents - but I do not know for sure this is correct - As I
maybe the one responsible for that information.

Any help would be appreciated.
